We headed north after breakfast looking for a place to take some wide-angle photos with a borrowed Sigma 10-20 (though I used some other lenses, too). We had no real plan, but got close enough to Katahdin that it made sense to keep going and use it as a test subject. I've been up here a number of times, but never with a camera in hand. It was a beautiful day. It was a nice and warm, albeit windy, change in the weather after Friday's snow storm (about a foot of snow accumulated in my driveway).
