More Standpipe photos

Submitted to Thursday's challenge for LARGE.

Also, I thought I'd include the information on this plaque (which stands near the base of the Standpipe) so you could learn a little about the Standpipe (since I've posted a number of photos of it) without having to go through the painstaking effort it would take to do a search on the web.

Foggy morning hoops

I find it somewhat extraordinary that the camera was able to freeze the action here with this much fog. The shot looks like it's on a good arc. I don't recall whether it went in or not. Submitted to Photo Friday's "The Extraordinary" challenge.

I highly recommend clicking on the photo so you can actually see the image.

Where's the animal?

You've got vegetation and mineral cohabiting here. Where's the animal? Submitted to Thursday's Plants challenge.

Bicycle in winter

I'm not really sure I want to be posting winter pictures just yet. Had enough of it last year (this was taken very early in our long, lengthy, stretched out, seemingly-never-ending, elongated, extended snow-filled winter of 2007-2008 - Did I mention yet that we had a very long winter last year?). Submitted to Unique Exposure's Bicycle challenge.

Golden Hour at sunrise recently

I don't see too many sunrises since I usually go to bed fairly late. I had to take my dad to the airport early one morning recently and swung by the standpipe while I was awake. Submitted for Shutterday's Golden Hour challenge.
