This is the best license plate I've seen yet on a Hummer. Communicates everything from an apology to screw you!

Gotta wonder if they're Steve Martin fans...

I'm guessing all the dirt came courtesy of Maine's winter. There's definitely no place to go mudding at the moment!

No Golf Today

This is what the first hole at Bangor Municipal Golf Course looked like Sunday afternoon.

I guess there'll be no golf anytime soon.

I think I need more camera (or more lens - someday!) to capture this sort of thing, but I'm happy with how these turned out. Maybe I'll be able to snap a few more shots on the way home after midnight, though I can't say that shooting for any length of time in zero-degree weather has a whole lot of appeal.

Is it the subject's fault or the camera's? Either way, I think it's fair to say that these guys (Ira and Bjorn) fit Moody Monday's Drunken (well, they're probably at the 'happy/silly' point in this shot) theme.

Foggy day (and I mean ALL day!) 2008-12-28

In addition to being my mom's 70th birthday, December 28th, 2008 was one foggy day here in the Whittling Fog neighborhood!



University of Maine campus and Marden Park in Orono
on my way home in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Bangor on the commute back in between 7 and 8am.

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting this day. I'd have liked to have spent the whole day chasing the fog, but I feel fortunate to have been able to whittle just a few brief pieces of it.
