I try not to get up in the morning, but it's occasionally necessary. Here's what greeted me on my morning commute today. The first three are different parts of the somewhat slippery Cedar Street hill in Bangor. The last two are on the UMaine campus in Orono.

Funny, I was wasting time looking at the shots people are posting on PlayBlogger and immediately thought, when confronted with your wintry scenes, "Hey, that reminds me of Maine!"
I spent four freezing winters in Hinckley where my father was head of the (then) Good Will Homes.
Nice shots!
Thanks.
I've spent a little time in Hinckley since we lodged a boat there for a few years, but that was longer ago than I care to admit (but close to the year I mention below).
I wish I had a digital camera the day we were sailing and came across a seal. Alas, digitals might've been conceived of at that point, but they were barely a twinkle in someone's eye.
I see you're in a much warmer part of the world now.
In the winter of 1978 we left Maine (and a few feet of snow) for a few months in Israel. Talk about what a difference a day's air travel makes!
