Let's make it a true Daily Double, Alex, in "Mother Nature's off her meds" (or What a difference another day makes)

More pictures while commuting (albeit v e r y s l o w l y as the roads were slippery (which did make it easy to do some drive-by (photo) shooting), but at a much more reasonable time of 11AM, but still morning). Mother Nature seems to be in yo-yo mode, at least in this part of the world.

Did I use enough parentheses for you above?

A few more shots from this morning's commute. The last shot is not an instant replay (see Saturday's snowy AM photos).

I'll have "What a difference a day makes" for $1600, Alex

Again, I'm not really fond of mornings, but if I have to be up, I might as well take pictures, right?

Still wintry (duh...), but at least there's a little more color this morning.

Snowy morning commute December 29th, 2007

I try not to get up in the morning, but it's occasionally necessary. Here's what greeted me on my morning commute today. The first three are different parts of the somewhat slippery Cedar Street hill in Bangor. The last two are on the UMaine campus in Orono.

Snowplows at noonish - apartment not included, tea optional

I didn't have an apartment handy (poke, poke jkirlin :-)) so I just stayed in the car (with windows rolled UP) in order to observe the UMaine plow crew at work early this afternoon.

I'm not sure I'd want to be the owner of that car in the middle of the first shot.

Because Christmas just wouldn't be complete...

...without an extended visit from Santa to grace your toilet seat.

(feel free to make up your own rhyme/punch line)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Alpha and Omega (or point A to point B)

My commute home last night started with the top picture and ended with the one just above. Since the light and shadows were really cool, I took some more photos of the back yard.

I think we just may have a white Christmas this year!

Shhhh... Baby's Sleeping

My niece and nephew. Gotta catch him being brotherly before he grows out of it (though he's got plenty of time before he becomes a teenager). Submitted to Moody Monday challenge - Brotherly.

In the spirit of the season

None of the shots I took the other night were quite what I'd hoped for, but these looked better as pseudo ornaments. Ho ho ho and all that jazz!

Peace

Peace is what I see
when I look into your eyes

Peace is what I feel
when I hold you in my arms

Peace is what I hear
when your soft breath reaches my ears

Would that the world be so simple
that we could all share the joy of Peace

Does anyone really know what time it is?

Time (echo effect) keeps on slipping, slipping...

Baby it's cold outside (though the temp rose up a little past the single digits as the day wore on).
Coupla different day parts here, but it all looks the same. Gray skies and steadily accumulating snow. Maybe not a Nor'easter, but still a good day to stay inside.

Bike rack photo submitted for Macro Day - Outside.
