Andrew "Jr. Boy" Jones - Time Out Pub May 10th, 2010

Andrew "Jr. Boy" Jones came to The Time Out Pub in Rockland, Maine this past Monday.

His professional career started at age 16 as a member of Freddie King's band. He's backed many blues luminaries over 40+ years and has fronted his own band for nearly 15 years.

Damon Fowler - Time Out Pub - Rockland, Maine May 3rd, 2010

Last week's performer (Mark Hummel at the Time Out Pub for Monday Night Blues) has been to Rockland many times over the last twenty years. This week's performer was first-timer Damon Fowler. Between the show and the crowd response, I seriously doubt it will be his last.

A friend recently posted on Facebook that "the Blues is in good hands w/ this kid." I was in agreement just from hearing his album. After seeing him perform in Rockland, I can heartily agree!

On Saturday May 1st we caught an excellent show by Sugar Ray & The Bluetones at the Venue Music Bar & Bistro in Freeport, Maine.

Monster Mike Welch and Mudcat Ward are on guitar and bass, respectively (Sugar Ray Norcia's on harp, naturally).
