Snowmobile Crossing

I think I'd like to hang around and wait to see one cross this way.

You know how sometimes you take a photo because it amuses you...

...and you have no idea what you're going to do with it?

Then someone like the good folks over at Thursday Challenge come up with Three Of Anything as a theme and while combing through the myriad of photos on your hard drive you find the photo below, which happens to fit the theme, though not necessarily at first glance.

Maybe YOU don't do this, but I did.

You know how they say that cutting wood warms you twice?

Well, this photo amused me twice.

The first time was when I took it.

The second time was when I saw how well it fit the Three Of Anything theme!

The Santa my friend... is blowin' in the wind...

...with apologies to Bob Dylan on the above title.

Power grab!!

These guys showed up on our doorstep this afternoon to let us know that they'd be cutting electricity to our house for a couple of hours in order to move the power lines from the old pole to the new one. How did they know that Lens Day's new theme was Two?

Since I'd already read the newspaper I decided to entertain myself for a while by taking pictures of them working - until I had to leave for work, anyway.

Think we could convince them to "fly" down like the Papantla or Tezcatlipoca Voladores Flyers?

Misty (mostly)Monochrome Mid-day Monday Maine Meandering

It would have been nice to have been able to sleep until my normal time this morning.

Had that happened, though, I would not have been in the right place to capture any of these shots.

Mornings still suck, but since I was up anyway, might as well take some photos... Nap time arrived (and was heartily welcomed) a short time after this last shot!

(one editorial note: the bridge shots should be clicked on and seen in larger form. The train bridge behind the automobile bridge is much more visible in the larger image.)
